Sustainability

This is DRDGOLD’s second annual Sustainable Development Report, presented in conjunction with the company’s Annual Report, and available in a printed format.

The economic, social and environmental aspects of DRDGOLD’s operations in the Gauteng and North West provinces of South Africa are covered in this report. The information presented is for the 2009 financial year, from 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2009, although both historical and forward-looking data are provided for information purposes.

This report has been compiled in line with the G3 guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the South African Mining Charter. For this report, DRDGOLD has again declared a C level of reporting in accordance with GRI’s requirements for a self-declaration in this respect.
