Safety and health

DRDGOLD strives to achieve best practice in terms of safety and occupational health. The company recognises the right of every employee to a safe and healthy working environment.

HIV/Aids

DRDGOLD recognises that HIV/Aids is a serious threat to the well-being of employees, the company and the industry.


Employment

DRDGOLD believes that the right mix of talent and skills is key to operational excellence and is committed to building dynamic and diverse teams among its workforce.


Corporate responsibility

DRDGOLD is committed to contributing to the long-term economic well-being of the areas in which it operates and, through Teba Development, to those areas from where its labour is drawn. It has local economic development (LED) programmes in place for all three operations.

Environment

DRDGOLD acknowledges that its mining activities have an impact on the environment and on the community surrounding its operations. Impacts are managed proactively in terms of management and mitigation measures contained in the Environmental Management Programmes (EMPs) in place at all of the group’s active operations.
