Blyvooruitzicht Gold Mine

Blyvoor, which employs some 4 500 people, is situated within the Carletonville goldfield west of Johannesburg. Blyvoor has underground and surface operations.

East Rand Proprietary Mines

Established more than a century ago, ERPM is an underground mining operation situated some 25km east of Johannesburg. In terms of prospecting rights granted early in 2006, a four-year exploration drilling programme is under way. The extension project has the potential to extend the life of the mine from mine to more than 20 years. ERPM employs about 1 900 people.

Crown surface operations

Crown recovers and treats old slime and sand dumps to the south of Johannesburg CBD, in the process freeing up substantial areas for redevelopment. Crown employs about 1 180 people.
