Hannes Botes joined DRDGOLD on 7 September 1998 as Group Financial Manager. He was appointed Group Risk Manager on 1 February 2003. Hannes has 25 of years financial management experience.
Kobus Dissel joined DRDGOLD as Group Financial Manager in October 1999 from AngloGold, where he was Financial Manager responsible for financial systems. He has 25 years’ experience in the Mining Industry.
Henry Gouws joined DRDGOLD January 1988. He was appointed Operations Manager of Crown in January 2006 and General Manager in July 2006. He has 21 years’ experience in the mining industry.
Themba Gwebu, who is an admitted attorney of the High Court of South Africa, first joined DRDGOLD in April 2004 as Assistant Legal Adviser. He was appointed Company Secretary in April 2005 and Group Legal Counsel and Compliance Officer on 1 January 2007. He is currently the Executive Officer: Compliance.
Amanda Hoosen joined DRDGOLD in her current position in October 2004. A graduate of Drexel University in the United States and a certified public accountant, she was previously employed in the United States by Cox Enterprises Incorporated and by Ernst & Young, LLP.
Kevin Kruger joined DRDGOLD 1994. Previously Engineering Manager at the company’s North West Operations, he was appointed to his current position in April 2005.
Louis Lamsley, who holds a Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency, was appointed Head of Properties Division on 1 January 2008. He has 35 years’ experience in the gold mining industry, 27 years of which have been spent in management.
Ben Nyirenda joined DRDGOLD as Technical Services Manager at Blyvoor in May 2004, transferring to the company’s North West Operations as Production Manager in October 2004. He was the Head of New Business for DRDGOLD SA from January 2006 and was appointed General Manager: New Business and Strategic Liaison on 1 April 2008. A graduate of the Camborne School of Mines in England, Ben obtained his Mine Manager's Certificate in 1995. He has been a registered professional engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) since 1998. He has 17 years’ experience in the mining industry, in both the gold and diamond sectors. He has also worked in the fields of financial management and business consulting.
Collie Russouw joined DRDGOLD as General Manager of Blyvoor in September 2006. He was previously Mine Manager at Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited’s Virginia operations and has held various mining-related positions in Harmony and GenGold/Gold Fields during a career spanning 28 years. He was appointed Executive Officer: Underground Operations on 1 January 2008.
Wayne Swanepoel was appointed to his current position on 1 April 2005. Previously, he was Human Resources Manager at Crown and Senior Human Resources Officer at Rand Mines’ Duvha opencast colliery. He has 18 years’ experience in the mining industry.
Charles Symons joined the mining industry in February 1977 and transferred to Crown Gold Recoveries in January 1986. He was appointed General Manager in 1995 and Executive Officer: Surface Operations on 1 January 2008.
Phillip joined DRDGOLD in 2002 and took up his present position on 1 August 2005. He was previously General Manager at ERPM. Phillip, who obtained a Mine Manager’s Certificate in May 1993, has a total of 33 years’ experience in mining, 23 years of which were spent with Gold Fields and four with Anglo American. His career includes both production and project management experience. Phillip has been Acting General Manager at Blyvoor since 14 April 2008.
Andrew Weir joined DRDGOLD on 1 October 2002. He was appointed Group Strategic Manager: Human Resources on 1 April 2006 and Executive Officer: Human Resources on 1 April 2008. Andrew has 20 years’ experience in the mining industry.
